Kids and teens are invited to create a creature and an original story or description for our carnival!
Deadline for entries is Sat., Oct. 26 at 5 p.m.
Our Creature Carnival is growing! Beasts, monsters, magical beings, robots, aliens - all are welcome at the Creature Carnival! Kids and teens bring in your original creations between Oct. 1 and Oct. 26, accompanied by a short description or backstory. Drop off at the Lower Level Children's Department desk.
Use any materials for your entry, but it needs to be freestanding and no larger than 24"W x 12"D.
Deadline for entries is Sat., Oct. 26 at 5 p.m. Looking for inspiration? Check out this stop motion animation video our librarian Marie B. made with her creatures. Discover what happened to her furry friends as they walked to the the library one day. This contest does not require a video, and we can't wait to see your original creations and read all about them!
Judging takes place Oct. 28. Results will be announced Oct. 29. Pick up your creatures by Nov. 1. The earlier you hand in your entry, the longer it has to gain votes for the People's Choice award.
Awards will be given to winners in the following catergories:

Note: Items such as pumpkins and gourds are permitted, but due to their limited shelf life, may need to be discarded before the end of the display period.
