Tech Lab: Equipment, Open Lab Times & Programs

The library's Technology Lab is a place to learn, explore and create. To experiment with new technology and take your knowlege to the next level. Let us help you become more digitally savvy and show you how technology can help you to achieve your personal, professional and educational goals. The Lab is located in the library's Lower Level.

What's in the Tech Lab?
Computers, devices and other equipment, as well as Adobe Creative Suite and other software for audio and video projects.

Open Lab Hours
There are scheduled drop-in sessions for community members to come in and use the Tech Lab. Individuals and small groups may also reserve time in the Tech Lab for projects such as video/audio recording and editing.

Techy Tuesdays (teens & adults)
3rd Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m.
Developed for ages 14 and older.
Explore technology and see demonstrations of different tech tools and tips each month. All supplies are provided. Class size is limited. Call 236-5205 to register.
Aug. 20       Learn how to use Canva, a free, online graphic design tool.
Sept. 17      Create your own coloring book using GIMP, a free photo-editing software. Bring your   

                    own photos to be scanned and turned into coloring pages, or download online photos.
Oct. 15        We're making Tin Can Lanterns using printed stencils.
Nov. 19        There's an app for that! We'll take a look back at some of the best smartphone/tablet apps of 2019.

Maker Mondays for Families
2nd Monday of the month at 4:30 p.m.
Developed for kids ages 3 to 13 and their grown-ups.
Learn, play, make and explore what's new in technology. Class size is limited. Call 236-5208 to register.
Sept. 9           Pixel Picasso: Use different digital art tools to create your own artistic masterpieces.
Oct. 14           Spooky Slimes: Make glow in the dark & eyeball slime for Halloween.
Nov. 11           Ozobot Olympics: Compete in some Olympic-inspired challenges.
