Fall Prevention Community Conversation

Falls are the second leading cause of death in Wisconsin and the first cause of hospitalization. If you are 65 years or older and live in the Oshkosh area, the Basic Needs Giving Partnership would like to hear what you have to say about preventing falls.

They are hosting a community conversation and want to know about your experiences regarding falls. This is part of a community collaborative effort to create an action plan. The plan's ultimate goal is that all older adults living  in Oshkosh can access fall prevention programs and services.

The main purpose of this listening session is to identify the root cause of why people fall, understand the current programs that address this issue, and explore what could be done to help prevent more falls from happening.

Light refreshments will be served.
