Learn what NaNoWriMo is all about and get useful tips to help you succeed 

You’ll learn how to

sign up on the NaNoWriMo website and go home with tools to keep track of your word count, ideas to find time to write and suggestions to combat writers block.

National Novel Writing Month is the largest writing project on the planet! We’ll give you tips and tricks to write a 50,000-word novel in 30 days. Think you can’t do it? Yes, you can!

 

 

Everyone Has A Story to Tell

In this interactive workshop, aspiring writers will develop their storytelling skills, discover their unique voice, and craft the first draft of a new piece, whether it is a short story, poem, or nonfiction. Local authors Bill Gillard and Tom Cannon will lead fun exercises and group discussions to help participants to learn about plot development, character creation, showing vs. telling, creating tension, and how to engage a reader. Bill and Tom will provide advice to aspiring writers on their projects and share their experiences in the publishing world. Everyone is welcome! Lower Level

Coding Club

Starting this September, we're hosting Coding Club every other Saturday at the library. We've partnered with Oshkosh West High School students to explore different software programs and new coding techniques. Bring your own device and let’s learn together in a low stress environment.
