Write Now Series! Getting, Accepting and Applying Feedback

Join Oshkosh writer Patrick McCorckle in the library's Lower Level Conference Room as he draws on his experience of participating in multiple writing critique groups to discuss the different avenues of acquiring free feedback on your writing. Whether through alpha/beta readers or virtual/in-person critique groups, Patrick will guide you on how to accept constructive feedback and apply it to any genre.

Winnebago Free Legal Assistance Clinic

Volunteer attorneys and paralegals provide free legal assistance to the community on many civil legal issues. Assistance is provided in the library's Lower Level on a first-come, first-served basis. The services provided are limited and may include:

  • A brief legal consultation with an attorney (or referral to an attorney if one is not available)
  • Assistance with legal forms
  • Assistance with legal procedures
  • Guidance to additional resources
