Sober Scribes: Creative Writing Workshop with Kelli Dunham

Telling our own stories has been shown to create and foster connections, help us understand and find meaning in our life events and challenges and decrease feelings of isolation.

In this 90-minute fun and relaxed workshop in the library's Lower Level, we'll write to relevant prompts, share our writing (optional), and prepare some words (again, optional) to share at an open mic reading at 7 p.m. tonight under the Dome.

You don't have to call yourself a writer to join us - everyone has a story and everyone can share their experience, strength and hope.

Kelli Dunham's Second Helping: Two Dead Lovers, Dead Funny

The one-person show performed by Kelli Dunham, ostensibly about grief, is actually about learning how to accept help. Or TRYING to learn how to accept help.

Wisconsin native Kelli Dunham is an ex-nun-nonbinary-nurse-storytelling-comedian. She has appeared on Showtime and the Discovery Channel, The Moth Mainstage, The Cinderblock Comedy Festival and nationwide at colleges, prides, fundraisers and even the occasional livestock auction.
